This project is a visual identity redesign for GMGJ (General Manager Guyub Jogja) — a hotel general manager association in Yogyakarta. The identity system was developed to reflect collaboration, unity, and the shared growth of the tourism ecosystem in the region.

Logo Philosophy
The logo adopts the form of a Gunungan, a well-known Javanese cultural symbol. The gunungan represents the cycle of life and the richness of the universe — from humans and animals to forests and natural resources.
The three bold lines symbolize the synergy between the three main tourism stakeholders:
- Government, Stakeholder
- tourism associations
- the local community and CSR partners
Together, these elements embody unity (guyub), mutual growth, and shared responsibility in advancing Yogyakarta’s tourism ecosystem.
The identity refresh in 2022 preserves GMGJ’s original spirit — to collaborate and grow stronger together — while giving the association a more modern, recognizable, and professional visual presence.
